The RAPS Nominating Committee has selected the list of new members to join the RAPS Board of Directors for its next term, starting January 1, 2023.
The committee carefully reviewed submitted nominations and made their selections based on professional experience, substantial involvement with RAPS, and a clearly articulated vision to expand the organization’s global reach and advance the profession. regulatory.
The following members are expected to join the Board in 2023:
- Treasurer: Patricia Reis Castro, CPA, Executive, Post-Market Surveillance, GE Healthcare
- Director: Daniela Drago, PHD, RAC, FRAPS, FTOPRA, Regulatory Director, Aurion Biotech
In addition, three current board members will begin their second terms in 2023:
- Director: Sabina Hoekstra-van den Bosch, PharmD, FRAPS Regulatory Strategy Manager, TÜV SÜD Global Medical Health Services, Germany
- Director: Frank Pokrop, CPGP, CQA, CQE, CSQE, RAC Senior Director, Regulatory Affairs Quidel Corporation
- Director: Kimberly Trautman, MS Managing Director and Vice President, MEDIcept
Hoekstra-van den Bosch, Pokrop and Trautman are all board members in good standing for a first term who have applied and been selected for a second term.
“These individuals have the knowledge, visibility, depth and breadth of experience and commitment to serve the organization well in the future.” said Nominating Committee Chair, Don Boyer, BSc (Hons), RAC, FRAPS. “We are very encouraged by these regulatory professionals who are so enthusiastic and eager to serve in such an important leadership role.”

In accordance with the RAPS Bylaws, members may submit additional nominations through a written petition which specifies the name and position of a qualified candidate and must bear the names, contact details and signatures of at least 50 members. active or for life in good standing. Petitions must be submitted electronically to the RAPS Nominating Committee via [email protected] by August 8, 2022. If no petitions are received, the slate of new board members will be confirmed on August 9, 2022.
