Kliff Kingsbury: JJ Watt’s work ethic in rehab has been “impressive”

Cardinals defensive lineman Jj watt has been activated to come back from the injured reserve, and while that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s going to play in a game, he’s already credited with how far we’ve come.

Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said Watt had done an incredible job rehabilitating himself after tearing his biceps, labrum and rotator cuff in October.

“He did everything he could in the training room and the weight room. So we’re going to bring it back there, get it fixed some things, ”Kingsbury said, via ESPN. “But he attacked this rehab as you might suppose. No one has seen anyone do it the way they have in the past two months. It’s impressive to watch it every day and it’s always good to find it in the field.

Cardinals general manager Steve Keim made similar comments.

“Having that kind of injury setback, really disappointing for all of us, but not once has JJ shown signs of pity for himself,” Keim said of 98.7 Arizona Sports. “Actually now I’m looking at how quickly he healed, how hard he worked, and the time that I did that, you look at your list and there are 52 players and then there is JJ Watt. He is different. And he is different in every way.

If Watt can play, and play 100%, in the playoffs, that would go a long way in bringing the Cardinals to the Super Bowl.
