Interview: Colton Little finds empathy in the acting profession

Actor Colton Little starred in the “Days of Our Lives” limited series “Beyond Salem: Chapter 2” on Peacock.

On Saturday, September 17, 2022, he took part in the Spectrum Celebrity Events virtual fan event, hosted by Tony Moore of “Dishin’ Days”, where a portion of the proceeds benefit the charity True Colors United.

For Little, doing the Days of Our Lives limited series “Beyond Salem: Chapter 2” on Peacock was an “honour.” “I was humbled and honored to play Charles Shaughnessy’s son,” he said.

Little starred as Andrew Donovan opposite Christopher Sean, who reprized his role as Paul Narita. Little praised Sean for being so welcoming and helpful on his first day on set.

‘Beyond Salem: Chapter 2’

On the biggest lesson the acting profession has taught him, Little replied, “Empathy.” “I always say empathy can save the world, if we’re all a little more empathetic and put ourselves in other people’s shoes,” he said.

“If you stop and think for a second where people are coming from and maybe their intentions behind their actions, it can bring about positive change in the world,” he added.

“As an actor, you have to focus on your character,” he admitted. You can’t judge your character, especially in soap operas because you never know. You have to be able to look at a person and say “I understand” why they are doing something. »
