Greater McHenry County Appoints Summer 2022 Interns


Leadership Greater McHenry County recently announced the selection of participants for the LGMC Summer 2022 Nonprofit Leadership Internship Program.

The program allows students to explore the career potential that exists in the nonprofit sector while developing management and leadership skills.

Six interns, all graduates of McHenry County high schools, were selected through a competitive application and interview process.

The interns are: Grace Cochrane, Eastern Michigan University; Bianca Cruz, McHenry County College; Faith Gancayco, Boston College; Raquel Hess, University of Missouri; Edith Sanchez, McHenry County College; and Zoe Strepek, Butler University.

Interns are matched with participating McHenry County nonprofit organizations based on the host’s specific interests, skills, and needs.

Host organizations for 2022 include: Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry County, Family Health Partnership Clinic; Independence Health and Therapy; NAMI McHenry County; Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association; and United Way of Greater McHenry County.

Leadership Greater McHenry County is a leadership organization that encourages and develops community leaders through targeted, experiential programs.
