BENEFIT launches the annual Fintech internship program “Masar”


(Manama, Bahrain) – BENEFIT, the Kingdom’s innovator and leader in Fintech and electronic financial transaction services, officially launches its annual FinTech internship program “Masar” in its first edition, in collaboration with the Supreme Council Women (SCW).

This year, 11 university students and recent graduates are enrolled in the program segmented into 3 learning paths, including data services, payment services and business support. On the first day, students went through an in-depth orientation program with various workshops delivered by BENEFIT with a key focus on AML financial crime, information and cyber security, financial literacy and more.

Salah Al Awadhi, Head of Human Resources and Administration, commented on the initiative, “BENEFIT is once again delighted to launch its annual internship program; Masar. We are also delighted to be cooperating with SCW to enable participating students to gain hands-on experience in a fairly complex and ever-changing multi-vertical financial ecosystem. He added: “The bespoke program will end with a final project in which students are challenged to submit their most unique concept to win a trophy for ‘Best Innovative Idea in FinTech’. The innovative idea presented must streamline existing processes, simplify and reduce operating costs, generate a new source of revenue for the company and add value to society. »

Masar’s goal is to empower and upskill Bahrain’s youth to participate in the Kingdom’s thriving FinTech sector and generate future solutions. The internship offers Bahraini university students and recent graduates the opportunity to shadow industry experts, gain fundamental skills and practical knowledge, and collaborate to develop innovative FinTech solutions, through their introduction to fintech ecosystem.
