NEW DELHI (Metro Rail News): 3 civil construction companies submitted bids last week for the 3.5 km DC-01A (Vikaspuri Ramp – Mangolpuri) lot of the 28.92 km Janakpuri West – RK Ashram extension of the Delhi Metro Magenta line.

The elevated section has four stations of 12.375 km Package DC-01 of the Delhi Metro Phase 4 project, which connects Vikaspuri Ramp and Haiderpur-Badli Mor Station via ten stations.

China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation – KEC International (CCECC – KEC) JV was awarded the construction contract from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) in November 2019 with a completion time of 30 months.

Construction work started in December 2019, although parts of the Vikaspuri Ramp – Mangolpuri segment have been delayed for years due to the wait for permission clearances to cut trees along the road.

Following discussions between CCECC – KEC and DMRC, this part was removed from the jurisdiction of DC-01. In September, DMRC launched a construction bid with a schedule of 24 months and an estimated cost of Rs. 398.63 crores.
