The banker?s key responsibilityis to discover and recommend solutions, cross-sell retail/small businessproducts and services, initiate partner referrals that meet the customer?s needsand financial goals. Personal Banker 1?s may reach out into the community byvisiting businesses, make outbound calls to customers, and conduct educationalseminars in the communityConsistently meets sales and referral goals. Engages every retail and/or smallbusiness customer both in-person and by phone with information and suggestionsfor new financial products or services. Understands customer needs and providesservice and products that assist customers in achieving their goals. Proactivelycross-sells additional products through referrals and outbound calling with thegoal of acquiring 100% of the customers' financial services business, includingdeposit and credit products. (Referral opportunities include, but are notlimited to, Small Business Loan and Investment prospects.) Follows the Sales and Service Roadmap process toprofile retail customers. Through profiling, learns about their financial goalsand understands their needs, issues and concerns. Also uses the profilingprocess to build trust and rapport to ensure quality service and customerretention.Proactively engages with retail and/or small business customers. Welcomes allcustomers into the store. Approaches customers who are waiting in the tellerline to uncover opportunities for additional product or services the customermay need.Maintains up-to-date fundamental product knowledge of all retail bank productsand services as well as Partner products and services. Develops an in-depthunderstanding of products, services, and organizational procedures throughongoing development and learning opportunities. Maintains a broad knowledge ofall financial services, products and organizational procedures. Understands keyselling features and benefits while creating appropriate approaches to be usedwith customers about each product to generate interest and closure. Develops andmaintains relationships with partners to maximize sales opportunities.Actively educates Tellers and other staff as appropriate. Listens to Tellerinteractions with customers and teaches as needed, how to use the Teller Salesand Service Roadmap to identify sales and referral opportunities.Efficiently and accurately processes retail customer transactions. Paysattention to detail as new accounts are opened and loan applications areprocessed. Ensures all compliance requirements are met in their customersales/service transactions. Exercises discretion when offering products based onthe jobs defined authority limits.Consistently provides quality customer service.
