Title: Analyst, HIMS Coding ComplianceLocation: Atlanta, GAWith limited supervision, coordinates and conducts quality improvement assignments for a variety of facility and market area departments as requested, utilizing established criteria. These include but are not limited to: medical record department quality audits; documentation standard audits; medical record inventory projects; process studies and verification; release of information production; etc. This position will partner with the Customer Support Supervisors and Medical Record Leads/Coordinators on facility specific issues related to medical records.Essential Functions- Identifying opportunities for improvement within health information management coding and physician documentation- Data measurement and analysis and recommendations regarding quality issues to the HIMS department, compliance, etc. to assist in process enhancement and service management- Provide comparison and interpretation among the HIMS department performance in order to elucidate and replicate best practices- Track HIMS department satisfaction- Assist in the design and implementation of approved best practices/recommendations- Document and present analysis to customers and leadership as appropriate.- Produce accurate and timely reports to 'customers'- Maintains up-to-date knowledge regarding professional health information management practices, as well as standards and regulatory requirements related to health information managementQualifications:Basic Qualifications- Two years of college level courses in health information management, business administration, information systems, healthcare delivery or related field- RHIA or RHIT and CCS or CCS-P required- Three (3) years of experience in two of the following areas: medical records/health information management; healthcare delivery or administration; project management and team coordination- Three (3) years of experience performing administrative and technical duties including continuous quality improvement processes and documentation, data analysis and reportingPreferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree
