AnInternational Actuarial Consultantprovides advice to clients on a wide range of human resources issues, including the design of benefit and compensation programs around the world, financing of and accounting for the programs, investing retirement plan assets, conducting multi-country mergers and acquisitions, and developing remuneration policies for internationally mobile employees. To fulfill this role, the consultant will:* Manage multinational client relationships by serving as the client's primary international consulting contact with Mercer* Advise multinational clients on legislative requirements and market practices for local country benefits and compensation programs* Advise clients on benefit plan design* Perform multi country benefit audits including comparison with market practice* Perform multi country benefits due diligence for merger and acquisition projects* Assist clients with the development of global risk frameworks* Advise clients on employee transfers from one country to another* Global accounting coordination including IAS19, FAS87, FAS132, FAS106 and FAS158* Advise clients on assumption setting for international accounting* Assist clients with international pension plan design, implementation, and administration* Account management of multinational clients and project management of multi country projects* Identify and develop client needs for international consulting solutions and identify appropriate opportunities to partner with consultants in other business lines* BA/BS degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics, finance, or business or related field* Six or more years relevant experience, preferably in a consulting environment* Actuarial designation (ASA / FSA / EA / FIA / FCIA) or significant progress toward certifications* Recent successful client relationship experience and ability to quickly build credibility and gain the confidence of individuals at all levels* Excellent presentation, group facilitation, verbal and written communication skills* Leadership skills, with the ability to be a team player and a strong self-starter* Excellent analytical, organizational, and planning skills; detail orientation* A client-focused attitude* Flexibility* Intellectual curiosity* Familiarity with Microsoft Office.Keywords: International, global, multinational, benefits, retirement, health, CEBS, actuary, actuarial, pension, funding, consulting, Atlanta, Georgia
